WildBrain CPLG announced the appointment of a new senior leadership team, which will report to Maarten Weck, WildBrain’s Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships and Licensing.
The news follows a period of growth for WildBrain CPLG, which has seen the company expand into new territories, including Asia Pacific, the United States and India. It has also built a partner-focused backend services offering and diversified its capabilities to include location-based entertainment.
Formation of new leadership team focuses WildBrain CPLG’s business, led by four senior executives, leveraging their deep expertise in licensing to lead the team and drive future growth in key areas, expand partnerships, and further strengthen Global Finance and Operations.
As we continue to deliver on our mission to be the top licensing partner for global brands, now is an ideal time to focus our collective efforts to seize future opportunities.
Pau Pascual and Ben Peace have both been promoted to senior vice president of commercial affairs. In his new role, Pascual oversees commercial teams and activities across Europe, the UK and the Americas. Pease will oversee commercial teams and activities across Asia Pacific, MENA and India. As part of these changes, John Taylor has resigned from his position as Vice President Northern Europe to pursue other opportunities, effective immediately.
Amsterdam-based Meike de Vaere has been promoted to senior vice president of partnerships and business development, with the responsibility of establishing and growing strategic partnerships through new licensing opportunities while developing new business prospects. Meike also expanded her responsibilities to include overseeing partnerships under WildBrain’s YouTube business, which is part of the audience engagement pillar led by Kate Smith, executive vice president of audience engagement.
Clare Vosper Mortimer, Vice President of Finance and Operations, joined WildBrain CPLG in November 2023. Clare leads a global team focused on delivering strong partner-centric services across these functions, enhancing WildBrain CPLG’s internal offerings.
Maarten Weck will continue in his current role, providing strategic leadership and oversight to the team and focusing on strengthening global partnerships with third-party brands across WildBrain’s content creation, audience engagement and global licensing.
“Pau, Ben, Meike and Clare have a strong track record as people leaders and strategic thinkers in our business,” Weck said. “I have full confidence in their capabilities and I look forward to continuing our collaboration and driving the next phase of our growth.”
