Based on the novel by Peter Brown, wild robot We’re stranded on a deserted island with ROZZUM 7134 (voiced by Lupita Nyong’o). Unable to perform tasks for her human masters as programmed, ROZZUM (“Roz” for short) relies on the island’s many wild animals to fulfill her functions.
It soon became apparent that the animals didn’t like robots rushing toward them, cheerily shouting “Do you need help?” Whether Rhodes could imitate their movements or understand their language; She was a horrific intruder and was treated as such. Unaware of the island’s ecosystem, Roz ends up getting into brawls with everyone from thieving raccoons to fearsome bears, leaving her bruised and alone.

Rhodes’ initial quarantine opens floodgates for day one wild robot Many moments worth crying. I dare you not to break your heart hearing her confused plea: “Does someone order me?” Someone please help this robot find her purpose!
This purpose appears to Roz in the form of an unhatched goose egg, the last survivor of the nest. There once was a gosling named Brightbill (by HeartacheKit Connor), hatched and imprinted on Roz, she was to teach him how to swim, eat and fly in order to migrate in time. But it turns out that the process of raising children isn’t just any old chore, and Roz soon finds herself experiencing thoughts and feelings beyond the scope of her programming.

Lilo & StitchThe eponymous pairing of humans and aliens is one of the greatest, along with the dynamic between the Dragoons How to train your dragonHiccup and Toothless. Rhodes and Brightbill atwild robot, Sanders hits the jackpot again.
Popular stories that can be mixed and matched
Brightbill and Roz may be a goose and a robot, but many of their interactions feel like those between human parents and children. Roz has been worried about whether Brightbill is doing the right thing – a mother possum named Pinktail (voiced by Catherine O’Hara) tells her this is normal parenting. Meanwhile, Brightbill is torn between wanting to be independent and worrying about what will happen if he leaves Lodz. Sure, he and Roz bicker in the way only mothers and teenagers do, but it’s clear they know they mean each other’s world.
‘Agatha Always’ review: Kathryn Hahn evokes pure, magical fun
This intimacy is heightened by the fact that both Rhodes and Brightbill are viewed as “flawed” by members of their kind. When Roz occasionally encounters other robots, they are confused by her sensory abilities. In Brightbill’s case, he imitated his mother, developing an almost robotic voice and emphasizing her every movement with purrs or beeps, which other geese found offensive habits. Ultimately, of course, these differences turned out to be Rhodes and Brightbill’s greatest strengths, a message that, while hardly revolutionary, is always worth repeating.
wild robot It also expands beyond Rhodes and Brightbill, showing Rhodes’ relationship with other creatures on the island. In another of the film’s most touching relationships, Rhodes relies on the conniving fox Fink (voiced by Pedro Pascal) to help Brightbill. Like many other animals on the island, his philosophy is that there is only one rule in life: eat, or be eaten. Rhodes has a different view, believing that kindness can become one’s own survival mechanism. Over the course of the film, Fink’s and the other animals’ perspectives shift from the former to the latter, demonstrating the impact Rhodes has on those around him. She was changing the island as it was changing herself.

Rhodes’ ability to bring misfits and entire communities together has allowed her to hold conversations with other great animated robots from the movies, such as Wall-E and the Iron Giant. So does her personal transformation. wild robot Carefully crafted crafts.
Nyong’o’s voice acting is impeccable here and is crucial to Rhodes’ journey. She voices Roz early in the film, and her voice is vibrant and has a hard, robotic edge that reflects how Roz stands out in a purely natural environment. as wild robot Continuing, Nyong’o adds more emotion to Rhodes’ sonic toolbox, making her angry, uncertain, and exasperated. The end result is a voice that’s full of emotion but still has traces of robot; it’s the culmination of a stunning vocal performance.
Nyong’o’s work runs parallel to Rhodes’ extraordinary design and animation. Her energy and versatile personality – she could be a crab! A lighthouse! Builders! – can only be compared with those artists who gave her life. Each scene makes you notice something new about Roz, whether it’s the constant twinkle in her eyes or how the bands of light on her body convey emotion. Like Nyong’o’s performance, Rhodes’ design charts her arc on the island, with every mechanical injury or occasional plant growth serving as beautiful visual storytelling.
