It would be quite astounding to look up at the night sky and see the glowing face of Steve Harvey. However, that’s apparently what happened to some people in Atlanta. Apparently, the internet loves it too.
The whole thing started with a tweet from Andscape senior writer David Dennis Jr.
“There’s a Steve Harvey light cast over Atlanta right now and I don’t know why,” Dennis Jr. tweeted, along with a photo that has now been viewed more than seven million times.

Now, let’s be clear, Mashable hasn’t been able to officially confirm that this Steve Harvey-lit light show actually took place on Friday night. This photo of little Dennis appears to be the only one making the rounds on the wider internet.
Although for some reason it does seem likely to be true. One: Dennis Jr. is a reporter for a respected media outlet and this will be super weird What a waste of reputation. Two: Reddit sleuths noticed that an event called “Investment Festival” was being held in Atlanta this weekend, with Harvey serving as a speaker. Third: Posts from the Investment Festival show drone demonstrations, but nothing showing Harvey’s image.
Regardless of the veracity, there are some really great jokes on the Internet.

So, thanks to drones, there’s (maybe) a giant electric Steve Harvey in Atlanta’s sky. You can say a lot about life in the future – good or bad – but it’s really weird.
