The war between land and sea The five-part series tells the story of sea demons who rise up to realize how badly humans treat the ocean and when war breaks out, UNIT steps in.
Russell Tovey and Gugu Mbatha-Raw will star in the new series. Many may remember them as Alonso Frame and Tish Jones from the first RTD era, but they will actually be playing entirely new characters. Gemma Redgrave plays Kate Stewart and Alexander Devrit plays Colonel Ibrahim.
The film will be directed by Dylan Holmes-Williams, who also directed the latest seasons of “73” and “Dots and Bubbles.” Doctor Who.
Filming is expected to begin in August.
We also received a lovely message from Nicola Coughlan, who plays Joy in this year’s Christmas special, and also gave us a sneak peek.
RTD also mentioned that Varada Sethu will play a new character named Belinda Chandra who will serve as a companion alongside Ruby in the second season.
Finally, Millie Gibson announced that Jonah Hauer-King would be joining the cast and becoming an integral part of Ruby’s story – Millie joked about being with Prince Eric.
All in all, it was a panel full of fun and twists!
As mentioned before, doctor who The booths in the showroom never disappoint. The booth is located in the center of the floor, next to Disney+/Hulu/ABC, which is very eye-catching. This year was particularly fun as they recreated part of the TARDIS set for fans to take professional videos of themselves posing with the TARDIS doors. The merchandise queue has also been upgraded with a virtual queue so attendees no longer have to wait in long lines!
They have another one Doctor Who x Star Trek Off-site and live podcast recordings, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to preview any of these events – but heard amazing things about them!
Overall, it was a great year for Whoniverse fans attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Can’t wait to see what next year brings!
