While you wait for what’s next from the team behind The Office, the latest remake of the documentary series has released its first trailer from Australia

The first trailer for the latest version of The Office is here, this time it’s the Australian version, and it doesn’t look… good.

Look, we all know that the American version of The Office is a hugely popular show, far more popular than the British original, but I honestly don’t know how often it gets remade. In addition to the original British and American versions, “The Office” is available in 12 different versions, including ones from Canada, Germany, India and Poland. Soon, that number will hit 15, as the show’s Australian remake is set to be released next month, with Prime Video yesterday releasing the first trailer for the documentary. There’s just one small problem, and that’s that this is one of the most painful, boring things I’ve seen in a long time.

    Watch on YouTube

The whole thing feels like it’s straight out of a machine designed to craft endless scenes from The Office, with each beat more awkward than the last, not because that’s how the show is meant to be, but because there’s such deafening silence , the constant laughter was supposed to happen, but it didn’t come. Looking at the comments on YouTube, many agree that this particular take on the much-loved show is not going to be a good or popular show. Oddly, even though it’s available in 240 countries when it launches on October 18, the biggest region it’s missing from is the US – although I don’t think you’re missing out on much from all countries.

Back in May, a new offshoot of The Office (reportedly called The Paper) was officially ordered, and last week it seemed a new cast was confirmed, including multiple Star Wars stars. Munnar Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore of “The White Lotus.” This new series will have some of the original team behind the US office, so hopefully it will perform better than the Australian office.
