Historically, shipments of popular iPhone models and configurations are expected to decline quickly, sometimes within minutes of pre-orders starting. In previous years, delivery dates for some models have been pushed back by weeks soon after pre-orders began. To avoid potential delays, customers are advised to have their selection and payment information ready before the booking window opens.

original:
On September 9, Apple went live for an Apple event and unveiled a number of new products, including AirPods 4 and Apple Watch Series 10, but we’re here to talk about the Apple iPhone 16 and its various iterations.
Made from aircraft-grade aluminum and 80% recycled materials, the new iPhone 16 is as durable and smooth as ever. It’s water and dustproof, and the glass is 2x tougher than any other smartphone on the market. It comes in ultramarine, teal and pink, as well as the traditional white and black. In terms of size, the iPhone 16 is 6.1 inches and the iPhone 16 Plus is 6.7 inches. iPhone 16 Plus has the largest iPhone display yet.
Apple information
Apple revealed that the next-generation iPhone is the first product to be built with generative artificial intelligence in mind from the ground up. iPhone 16 uses a new A18 chip specially built for it. The 16-core Neural Engine enables iPhone to handle large generative models. It has 17% more memory bandwidth and is 30% faster than iPhone 15 (60% faster than iPhone 12). Apple claims it’s also faster than the competition and can even challenge desktop computers. This is just the non-pro version.
Apple Intelligence can image, language, and take action on your behalf. No matter where you type, you can use writing tools to rewrite a Slack message to your boss or a party invitation sent via iMessage. You can create unique emojis or original images on the fly, which I think is exactly what we need everywhere in our lives. Notifications can be summarized from the lock screen so you can get the gist of what’s missing in lengthy group chats.
One really interesting improvement Apple Intelligence offers is the improvements it makes to Siri as it enters a “new era” with richer language understanding and a broader knowledge base. During the live broadcast, a user asked Siri to “send a photo of Saturday’s barbecue to Erica,” and Siri did just that. Honestly, it’s pretty cool because it feels like Apple is finally delivering on the promise of Siri from the beginning – a digital assistant that helps you complete simple tasks and makes your life easier.
Private cloud computing is Apple’s way of ensuring that your data is never shared or stored, handles more AI calculations on the user side, and doesn’t retain anything that has to go through the cloud.
camera control
New controls on the side of iPhone change the way you take photos and videos. Just swipe your finger on the side to adjust camera controls like zoom or depth of field and use it in third-party apps like Snapchat.
iPhone 16 is equipped with a 48 MP main lens, which has a resolution 4 times higher than that of iPhone 14, and a 12M ultra-wide-angle lens, which can capture 2.6 times more light than the previous iPhone. Now it’s designed specifically for macro photography, allowing you to capture small objects at extremely close range while preserving detail and light. Using machine learning, unwanted background sounds (such as wind) can be automatically removed from videos.
Pre-orders start today, September 13thand was released on September 20th.
