what have we left behind
Creator: Coco Comics Publishing House
Target: $394
End date: September 30
nice one: The digital version is priced at $6, the physical version is priced at $10, and the higher-level Jpatricks series is priced at $33.
8 stories, 8 genres, 8 artists, 1 writer. A collection of comic short stories written by James Patricks that explores the theme of heritage.
A story about the highs and lows of Brockhampton’s output, a psychological thriller about all-too-real costumes, a police scientist who can predict the future and more. This anthology has something for every kind of fan. All this creativity is designed to explore Patrick’s own anxieties about what we leave behind. The selection looks interesting and worth checking out the project page. You won’t regret it.

Sam Hawthorne: An extra layer of onion
Creator: Jacob Lütke (Creator)
Target: $1,663
End date: October 12
nice one: The digital version is priced at $8, the physical version is priced at $28, and the hardcover version is priced at $45.
Grumpy, cynical, spends too much time trying to look cool in second-hand suits. Sam solved every case, one hot dog at a time.
At first glance, it seems like just another project until you read the resume of 19-year-old Jacob Luiedtke from Berlin, Germany. He’s the creator of Sam Hawthorne, who plays a tough detective who just wants to lighten up. I couldn’t help but check out the comic and you can get yours for only $8. I enjoyed seeing why Sam loves hot dogs and solving crimes so much, and that it’s all the brainchild of a 19-year-old. Check out the project page, it’s worth a look.

power error
Creator: Jadine Carmichael (writer), João Lyle Luis (artist)
Target: $1,000
End date: October 5
nice one: Purchase the limited edition digital cover for $5 and Power Bug: Synergi Archive for $15.
Through blood, sweat, and tears, Vergil Starlight will emerge victorious and become the hero the world needs.
As such, there’s no promise of a physical release for this project, and in fact it’s just getting started, and progress is slow. Having said that, I couldn’t help but look at the artwork on the project page. The design of the Power Bugs looks awesome, kinda reminds me of the Tokusatsu inspired Rangers and I can’t help but want more. The comic is still in the creative stages, but for just $5 you can own your own art and support independent artists. I couldn’t help but want more.
