Hugh Grant plays a strange and dangerous villain in the film pagana new horror film premiering on A24 $11 million last weekend. At one point in the movie, he gives the impression that Star Wars Character Jar-Jar Binks and friends, this is the worst impression of an obnoxious alien I’ve ever heard.
paganThe film about two young women who soon regret entering the home of Grant’s character hits theaters on November 8 and has become a A24’s top-grossing photosbeats movies like I saw the TV glow and love lies bleed In just a few days. Impressive stuff! The movie, in which Hugh Grant’s character briefly impersonates Jar Jar Binks, is less than impressive.
November 12, IGN A clip from Heretic was released showing Grant’s character talking about how in the future people will worship Jar Jar Binks as a religious figure. The clip was later “borrowed” and Retweeted by: Discussing Movies On Twitter, it exploded.
Gaga first appeared in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace In 1999, people hated him. Negative reaction and abuse forced Ahmed Best, who played Gaga, to nearly commit suicide. But since then, he has bounced back, has a happy family, and returned to Star Wars as The Jedi who saved Grogu.
Regardless, I have to imagine that Hugh Grant knew who Jar Jar Binks was, and had seen at least one clip of the character speaking. So I’m assuming this terrible imitation is intentional and is an example of the character not quite understanding who Jar Jar is, which could be a clue as to how much you can trust him.
Or maybe Grant did it and everyone on the set was silent, he took that as a sign of success and moved on, and no one had the heart to say it was bad. Regardless, I’d pay to see more imitations from Grant Star Wars figure. Give me your best Jabba or Yoda, my partner.
pagan Now in theaters. Don’t boo the screen when he imitates Gaga. OK?
