Today we have an appointment with a Blizzard developer. Ahead of yesterday’s official announcement of Diablo 4 Season 5: Hell’s Hordes, Blizzard will be discussing more interesting items and changes coming to the new season.
In general, today’s stream will cover the lessons learned from the Season 5 PTR, which took place in July, and how it affects the final version of Season 5 that all players will experience next week.

Admittedly, this is a little less interesting than last season’s reveal stream, if only because Blizzard chose to drop all official information two days before the show. Still, the developers have been making some crazy changes to what makes the game unique, and the livestreams are generally good at providing more details.
This is also particularly interesting for Hell Tribe Season as it will add over 50 new legendary and unique gear to the game, so focusing on enhancing unique gear is definitely a focus. Season 5’s main quest also revolves around a new end-game co-op event that’s designed to be another source of great loot.
Today’s live broadcast starts from 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm UK, you’ll be able to watch the live stream on the official Diablo channels on YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter as usual. For this one, we have lead designer Adam Jackson (whose part will be the longest), as well as the rest of the development team.
We’ve embedded the Twitch player below, and we’ll come back after the stream to recap what was discussed.
Season 5: The Hell Tribe season kicks off on Tuesday, August 6th.
