Stalker 2 Available now on Xbox Series X/S and computers. Despite the bugs and performance issues, you might be curious to check it out. However, if you are someone who cannot stand the idea Shoot or kill a dog in video games, then you should probably stay away Stalker 2.
Stalker 2 Published on November 20 after a long and troubled development cycle that was partially slowed by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The game is a large-scale open-world first-person shooter about surviving in extreme situations with very few resources in digital entertainment. The very real Chernobyl Exclusion Zone is full of (not real) mutants, monsters and mercenaries. While you might not be shocked that you sometimes have to kill wild animals in this cruel and painful world of video games, you might be surprised by how often it ends up being the dog at the end of your barrel.
Within the first 20 minutes after startup Stalker 2 On Xbox Series XI, I was forced to shoot a dog that attacked me in the prologue. I didn’t think much about it but I didn’t mind killing people either. anything in a game. Maybe I’m just a cold asshole. Maybe it’s because I grew up in a rural area where animals were often killed by coyotes, cold, etc. not sure.
But as I continued to play, more and more dogs kept getting killed. Even me, the cold-blooded monster in a video game, was starting to feel weird.
Of course, the dog is Stalker 2 A bit mutated, but they still grow, bark, and whimper when shot, and they look a lot like your pet dog, so it may still be uncomfortable for some people.
For example, after the prologue/tutorial section, a cutscene plays in which a dog bites your character’s foot and wakes you up. Before he can take a shot, the poor animal is grabbed by a strange radioactive anomaly and spun into an explosion of blood and skin.
I then have to kill a few more dogs on my way to town, where I can get quests, buy and sell loot, and hide some stuff. I wonder if there are other enemies in the game. (There are and Oh my god They are deadly and terrifying.
When I got to town and watched some cutscenes, I talked to the bartender and asked about the job. He gave me two tasks, one of which was to track down and kill some stray dogs. Then, after I left the bar to explore the town, another NPC called out to me and asked me for a job I wanted to help with. Work? Kill a pack of dogs. At this point, I did start to wonder if everyone in town hated dogs.
Leaving town on a different mission that involved a man hiding out among several different groups, I tracked the target’s possible location. When I arrived I encountered bandits who happened to have a pack of wild dogs in their base. I mean, I thought they were wild strays because when I killed them after they attacked me, no one on the base cared at all. Maybe they are more ruthless than me?
This all happens within the first 3 to 4 hours Stalker 2. Killing dogs became less common as I continued playing, but they are enemies you will encounter regularly and NPCs will ask you to kill them in (what I assume is) randomly generated quests.
So if the idea of killing a dog in a video game makes you sick or sounds like a bad experience, then I suggest you don’t play it Stalker 2. If you do like killing dogs in games, that’s…weird, but eh boy, this new game is for you!
