

Another webcomic platform is getting some major venture capital funding and expanding on the wings of artificial intelligence: Voice me Just announced that they have added some key personnel and raised a total of $10 million in funding on the basis of 1000% growth in readership since 2023.
VoyceMe, which bills itself as “the first platform of its kind for comics and webcomics creators,” uses “ethical artificial intelligence” to help creators “monetize their content and build deeper connections with fans through powerful social features. The site claims 8 million monthly visitors and offers the usual mix of fantasy/action vertical scrolling comics – including many original series billed as English-language comics. It’s been around since 2020 — founder Dylan Telano was just 21 when he launched it — and has tools for adding animations and sound effects, and even a TikTok channel. this Current expansions are adding artificial intelligence tools (sigh) to allow creators to bring their ideas to life.
