We already know that Netflix has made a nasty habit of splitting some of its best and most popular series (from Bridgerton and You to the upcoming Outer Banks ) into two parts, where Half of the episodes air one month and the other half air one month after that.

But thankfully, the Virgin River Fanatics will be immune to the frustrating split-season tactics.

Instead, Netflix releases all ten episodes at once for our viewing pleasure, and we can watch them as we please.

This year, we’re definitely excited to get these types of treats before the holidays.

It’s no secret that Virgin River season 6 will focus on Jack and Mel’s wedding, among other plot points the show has planned for many of its other beloved characters.

Finally, Mel and Jack are expected to get married in the spring, which means Virgin River’s schedule won’t line up with ours.

We also know when the wedding will take place, around mid-season, and episode six will have a lot of twists and turns, some love triangle action, and of course all the fun drama that comes with a wedding.

Seriously, this wedding is going to be an event in Virgin River, a community that loves nothing more than gossip and drama.

However, the show has been described as “enjoyable,” so hopefully we won’t have to worry about anything too bad happening.

This season will also feature some flashbacks to the past, as we see Mel’s parents fall in love and learn about their previously unknown history in Virgin River.

Yes, Virgin River will take us back to the 1970s at some point in season six, and we’ll see some of the love story between Mel’s parents.

When the series expands into a full franchise, it could serve as a backdoor pilot or lay the groundwork for a love story-focused Virgin River spinoff!

When we last saw the Virgin River community, during the Virgin River Holiday Special, they left us with a lot of cliffhangers, including Mel and her dad.

We also saw Brady and Brie nearly share a mistletoe kiss, and to our delight (sorry, not sorry, Mike), Preacher and Kaia’s Happiness is short-lived.

Plus, new couple Cam and Muriel have some romance issues in May/December, and Danny and Lizzie learn they’re having a baby girl.
