Dragon Age: Veiled Wardens taking more action-oriented approach The combat effectiveness far exceeds that of his predecessors. Now we see a mage Rook (the player character) wielding a staff capable of both close combat and ranged spells. The mage seems to have some tricks up his sleeve, with the ability to slam at close range, a beam of faded green magic that stalks enemies from afar, and more powerful energy spells that can hit multiple enemies at once.
The standard attack is for you to flick your staff while firing an inconspicuous damage spell, but BioWare executive producer Michael Gamble saidMage players can also use an orb or dagger as their primary weapon instead of a staff. So it sounds like this trailer is also just showing off one way to play a mage. Check out the video below:
