Sony has revealed more details about the PC version of Until Dawn remastered ahead of its release next month, including system requirements and recommended specs. Similar to PC ports of other PlayStation Studios games, Until Dawn will benefit from advanced graphics features, customizability and accessibility features. Designed by developer Supermassive Games, the remaster can run on a variety of PC configurations, with presets ranging from 720p 30fps mode using low graphics settings to 4K 60fps mode.

For the least demanding preset, you’ll be able to experience the interactive horror game with an Nvidia GeForce 1660 or Radeon RX 470 graphics card. If your goal is a consistent 1080p 60fps experience, you’ll need to install a GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6600XT GPU and at least 16GB of RAM. For anyone looking for a stable 4K 60fps mode using very high presets, Supermassive recommends a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or Radeon RX 6900XT GPU.

The common thread between all the available graphics options is that you’ll need an SSD with 70GB of usable storage, and an NVMe SSD specifically for the higher graphics presets, which is quite a bit of space, but thankfully a lot of Lower storage requirements than God of War Ragnarok. Supermassive says that if you have the hardware to support the game, you can expect ultrawide monitor support, cinematic aspect ratios, a select set of ray tracing features, as well as upgrades and frame generation support via Nvidia DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.1 .

Full DualSense controller support on PC will also be available, and Supermassive says you’ll be able to feel your character’s heartbeat during intense sequences, as well as several other haptic feedback features.

Until Dawn, which launches on PS5 and PC on October 4, is a remaster of the 2015 game with a number of changes to make the game more cinematic in nature. The game has been completely remastered in Unreal Engine 5, featuring updated character models, environments, interactive props, visual effects, and animations. Supermassive has also upgraded its gore effects, as the game features “realistic real-time fluids” and more convincing actor injuries.

This is just one of several horror games launching in October, with fans of the genre also able to play Silent Hill 2 Remastered, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, and Shadow of the Damned Remastered.
