Unioverse, a sci-fi franchise and game creation platform, has expanded its offering with the release of its second game, Hoverdrome.
To commemorate the release, Universe has organized a tournament with a prize pool of $15,000 in $USDC and 300,000 $UNIO tokens among other prizes.
In addition, the platform also launched the latest and most popular NFT hero – Tor Gret.
What is an air cushion driving range?
Hoverdrome is the latest addition to the Universe gaming platform, inspired by popular games such as Mario Kart and Rocket League. The game offers a fast-paced experience that challenges players in racing and combat.
“Hoverdrome is an exciting addition to Unioverse, combining the best elements of racing and competitive events,” said Tony Harman, founder and CEO of Random Games, the company behind Unioverse. “We’re excited to partner with our community Share this pre-test version and look forward to their feedback.”
A unique feature of Hoverdrome is its use of interoperable NFTs, allowing players to use their digital assets across multiple games within the Universe ecosystem. Currently, a pre-alpha version of the game is available for Windows PC users.
Who is Thor Gretel?
Tor Gret is the third hero to be launched in the Universe, following the earlier releases of Krishah and Reyu, and has quickly become the most valuable NFT in the Universe series.
On August 6, 5,000 NFTs were minted in partnership with Magic Eden. Owning the Tor Gret NFT provides instant access to Universe games, exclusive ecosystem benefits, and priority access to major events, with additional benefits for those who hold the “Epic” or “Legendary” edition.
“Tol Gretel is a game-changer in the universe, not just as a character but in what he brings to our community,” Harman said. “The minting event is a major step forward for us, and we’re excited to see how our players will use and appreciate this unique hero.”
How to enter the competition?
The tournament is sponsored by Polygon and is free to enter, but participants are asked to verify that their computers meet the necessary system requirements.
Open qualifiers for the tournament will take place from August 26 to August 31, with the final scheduled for August 31.
“The integration of $USDC, $UNIO prizes and free-to-enter tournaments underscores our commitment to providing value to the community,” said Wyeth Ridgway, Founder and CTO of Random Games.
Players interested in participating can learn more details and register through the Universe website.
