Ubisoft isn’t shy about admitting that Star Wars: Desperados’ launch hasn’t been as strong as the company had hoped. There are reports that “Star Wars Desperados” has sold only 1 million copies so far. Regardless, Ubisoft hasn’t given up on its efforts to improve the game, and the latest patch may go a long way toward fixing the game’s many issues.
The new Star Wars Outlaws – Title Update 2 is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the official Ubisoft website. Some of the most notable changes relate to Desperado’s stealth sequences. AI detection has been adjusted, and other elements such as the number of NPCs and their patrols have also been modified. The airship experience has also been changed to improve camera placement and reduce collisions to prevent players from being easily knocked off the airship.
If there’s one good thing to say about Ubisoft’s Star Wars: Desperados experience, it’s that the company seems to have taken the lessons learned to heart. Assassin’s Creed: Shadows has been delayed until early 2025 to give the developers more time to iron out any major bugs before release. We’re hoping that Shadow will launch with far fewer gameplay issues than Outlaws did at the start.
