If you’ve been playing the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta, you’re probably already used to Skylines and Forsaken. Interestingly, according to Treyarch, the map won’t be significantly larger than it will be at launch.
The news was revealed via Twitter, and the official Treyarch Twitter account gave us a glimpse into the future of multiplayer maps in Black Ops 6. A mid-sized map like this Skyline would be on the higher end of the scale.

This may sound surprising since Skyline doesn’t necessarily feel That It’s big, but to be fair, it’s a multi-level map with two large floors and a fairly large exterior. It’s also worth noting that the flow of the map makes it quite fast, encouraging players to rush forward into sight of other players rather than sneaking around to find flanks.
Treyarch provided some additional context in a follow-up tweet, adding: “We know map flow and variety are critical to the best player experience, and we’re giving Black Ops fans a variety of options at launch. Map size.
Community hubs like Twitter and Reddit have had mixed reactions, but that’s to be expected when players haven’t seen these news maps and their differences in traffic and diversity. But it’s an interesting change from previous games, which tended to emphasize tense firefights where high mobility in a variety of environments could mean the difference between winning and losing.
