Epic Pictures Group has released the trailer for its upcoming Dutch World War II action thriller, the forgotten battleIt tells the story of a massive battle that took place in the Netherlands.
September 1944, World War II. “The Allies had captured the port of Antwerp, but the Germans still controlled the mouth of the Scheldt, preventing supplies from reaching Antwerp and the Allies.
“Walcheren Island is the key to Germany’s defense. Operation Market Garden was launched, hoping to penetrate Germany directly from Arnhem, Netherlands.
“One of the gliders involved in the operation was forced to land at Walcheren, leaving a handful of British soldiers trapped behind enemy lines.
“Meanwhile, a Dutch teenager accidentally kills three Germans, setting off a tragic chain of events. Also on the German staff is a Dutch soldier who now begins to question where his loyalties lie.
It’s a story I’m unfamiliar with and it looks like it would make an interesting movie. The production values look great too! The filmmaking team actually wanted to make a great historical war film.
The director of this movie is Matisse van Heningen Jr.and it is a star Gies Blom, Jamie Flatsand Susan Read.
