HBO releases interesting trailer for its upcoming Max series franchisea comedy set in the chaotic world of superhero moviemaking.
It’s a great concept and looks like it’s going to be a very fun and entertaining series. The story follows “the crew of an unpopular franchise as they fight for their place in a brutal and unruly cinematic universe.”
It’s explained that the comedy series “reveals the secret chaos in the world of superhero moviemaking and asks the question – how exactly is the cinematic sausage made? Because every badass has an origin story.
franchiseThe cast includes Himish Patel As Daniel, Ayakash As Anita, Jessica Hines As Stephen, Billy Magnussen As Adam, Lori Adefope As a day, Darren Goldstein as pat, and Isaac Powell As Bryson. Frequent guest stars include Richard Grant As Peter and Daniel Brewer As Eric.
The pilot episode of the series was directed by Sam Mendes and written by Jon Brown, who also served as showrunner.
In an interview with IndieWire, Magnussen said, “The gift is that I can laugh at all this shit that we do. Like people with egos like, ‘Oh, they’re superstars.'” Here’s A TV show about making a superhero movie and it’s all just a bunch of idiots running the show and you can laugh.
Speaking about his famous co-star, the actor added: “The whole thing is everything. The community that I worked with on that TV show was a gift that I’m so grateful for.
“It’s all about the people because a lot of people in this industry take themselves too seriously and this show reminds me that you can have fun and laugh at yourself and that’s what we do.”
The show is set to premiere on Max on October 6.
