A new wave of layer 1, layer 2, defi, such as Monad.. is preparing to launch its token.
Among the hundreds of projects currently in TestNet or announced in the TGE program, some of them stand out due to their strong user traction and impressive fundraising performance.
This article highlights the 10 most famous projects selected based on two key criteria: true user engagement and the amount of capital raised successfully.
Top 10 Best Projects Before TGE
polymer
Polymarket is one of the most notable projects to come, and it is a fragmented forecasting market where users can place bets on real-world event outcomes. Thanks to its transparency, intuitive interface and high practicality, the platform has quickly gained over one million users.
PolyMarket has more than $70 million in funding for general backers, such as Peter Thiel and Balaji Srinivasan, and is seen as a potential input data layer for the future DEFI protocol. As a decentralized predictive model, it can also be used as the “oracle” layer in the wider Web3 ecosystem.

Farcaster
Farcaster is a decentralized social networking protocol that has attracted great attention to its open architecture and the ability to allow anyone to build social applications outside of the infrastructure. Unlike centralized Web2 platforms, Farcaster stores all interactive data on the chain to ensure user data ownership.
The project raised about $150 million and currently has more than 350,000 active accounts. One of the great features of Farcaster is the “frame”, which allows users to interact directly with content in other applications without leaving the platform.
Recently, the project’s founder Dan Romero hinted at potential air-light farming mechanisms such as using the Farcaster protocol to create frameworks, daily engagement and building applications.
Given its current growth momentum, Farcaster is widely expected to launch a token in 2025, which could be accompanied by a large Airdrop movement for active contributors.
metamask
MetAmask is a decentralized wallet developed by Consensys and is currently one of the most widely used applications in the Web3 space, with over 30 million active users. Thanks to its browser-local integration and multi-chain support, MetAmask is the primary gateway for millions of users entering the DEFI and NFT worlds.
Although Metamask has not yet launched a token, the development team has hinted at a potential retrospective trachea. With over $200 million in funding, the question is no longer whether MetAmask will release a token, but when.

Single
MONAD is an emerging layer 1 blockchain designed to compete directly with Ethereum by adopting a parallel EVM architecture, allowing faster and more cost-effective transaction processing. Unlike Ethereum’s traditional sequential model, it differs from Monad in its ability to execute transactions in parallel.
With over $225 million in funding, such as Polychain and Paradigm, Monad has launched its testnet through initiatives such as Monad2048 Game and has attracted a lot of participation from the community. Prior to the token release, its focus on community building reflects a long-term strategy that the project has received high attention for its TGE potential in 2025.
Fermentation
Megaeth is a new layer 2 network on Ethereum, designed for parallel processing, with high performance in mind. The project has received significant attention in the community after announcing the completion of a $20 million seed financing in June 2024.
The round is led by Dragonfly Capital, with funds from Figment Capital, Robot Ventures, Big Brain Holdings and other funds including Vitalik Buterin (co-founder of Ethereum) and Joseph Lubin (Consensys Ceo).
Megaeth’s roadmap includes public test network releases in early fall 2025 and issuance by the end of 2025. After Mainnet launch, Megaeth plans to introduce a local token that will be used for possession, ecosystem rewards, and governance through DAO.

Carac
Karak is a project operating in emerging fields that competes directly with Eigenlayer, the current leader of the department. Reproduction is a novel trend that allows users to take advantage of fixed assets to participate in other services to maximize returns.
Karak raised about $50 million, attracting attention due to its various AVS products and an active development community. With attractive token learning and strong real-life demand, Carac is expected to be one of the most important revision tokens to be launched this year.
concise
The ZK validator service is being developed as a plugin that can be easily integrated into any blockchain. The solution is designed to simplify the verification process using zero-knowledge proofs (critical components in high security applications and rollups).
Supported by more than $55 million from well-known investors such as Paradigm and Robotic Venture, the simplicity is the infrastructure layer in the ZK field, similar to the infrastructure layer provided by chain links for data seats. If it launches tokens, simplicity can be greatly expanded by incentivizing models of usage and validator possession.
Opensea
Opensea is the oldest and largest NFT market, which has raised over $425 million and is a symbol of the NFT wave in 2021-2022. Although platforms such as Flur and Magic Eden face fierce competition, Opensea continues to maintain a high transaction volume and a stable user base.
The launch of local tokens could trigger a new wave of growth in Opensea, especially when the NFT market enters a recovery cycle. If implemented using a fair distribution model like traceability, Opensea’s tokens could be an important catalyst for the entire NFT ecosystem.
Wire
Consensys, the company behind MetAmask, developed Linea as a 2-layer ZKEVM solution. Linea’s aim is to combine the security of ZK summary with EVM compatibility and actively test its network on TestNet and Mainnet through campaigns like Linea Voyage.
Although Linea has confirmed its token release, the team repeatedly delayed the actual deployment. However, this did not undermine the community’s expectations, especially given that the platform attracted millions of test users and accumulated a lot of engagement through a clear retrospective campaign.
With the strong support of its large user base and consensus ecosystem, the possibility of Linea’s trachea traceability remains high. This provides an important opportunity for early adopters, especially those who have actively contributed through testing activities starting in early 2024.
Even if there is no final formal confirmation of the exact timing of the token issuance, Linea’s retrospective aerodynamic potential remains strong given the precedent set by projects such as arbitration and optimism. Of course, this provides an attractive opportunity for users to actively engage with the ecosystem.
Giverep
Giverep is an emerging social platform built on the SUI blockchain, designed to transform your social media engagement into a measurable on-chain reputation point known as $REP. By interacting with Web3-related content on X, users can earn $REP points, which could allow them to earn future AirDrops and other rewards.
In addition to the 10 projects highlighted above, other initiatives such as Somnia, Lens Chain, Linera, mitosis, abstraction, etc., are also worthy of attention due to their active development efforts and the huge potential of its ecosystem.
