I’ve always dreamed of an FBI: Most Wanted crossover, but that was never going to happen.
“FBI: Most Wanted” is set in the same universe as most of Dick Wolf’s shows, including all of the “Law & Order” series.
It would be especially interesting if it crossed over with Law & Order: Organized Crime , given Dylan McDermott’s involvement in both shows.
Dylan McDermott goes from dangerous criminal to head of fugitive task force
His two characters will become sworn enemies
Richard Wheatley is the malignant narcissist on Law & Order: Organized Crime.
He ends up outsmarting the police, especially Elliot Stabler.

Even after Stabler finally arrested him, Whitley walked away from the serious charges against him and returned to a life of crime until his car went off a cliff and he was presumed dead.
Soon after, McDermott appeared in FBI: Most Wanted as Remy Scott, the new head of the Fugitive Task Force and the one most likely to work with the organized crime unit People who capture people like Richard Wheatley.
Although Wheatley was presumed dead, no body was ever found, and I’ve always assumed the writers did this so that he could one day return.
Why Scott’s pursuit of Whitley would be perfect for FBI: Most Wanted
McDermott’s dual role adds to the fun
If FBI: Most Wanted crossovers with Law & Order: Organized Crime, Dylan McDermott will have to play dual roles so that the Fugitive Task Force can help find and capture Richard F. Wheatley.
There have been FBI crossover events before, but nothing like this. The closest I can come up with is Haley Upton visiting an FBI office, but that pales in comparison to what I’m suggesting here.
The showdown between McDermott’s two characters will be the ultimate meta-plot, and there will be plenty of opportunities for Wheatley and Scott to reference the weirdness of it all.
Whitley is the kind of criminal Scott hates the most.
He wouldn’t be happy that they had the same face, and Whitley would probably trumpet the coincidence.
It will give Scott even more satisfaction when his team finally helps Whitley go to prison for good.
How a Whitley/Scott showdown might unfold
Whitley must commit new crimes and reveal he’s still alive
Logically, FBI: Most Wanted’s crossover should begin with Scott’s team.
The Organized Crime Bureau had dealt with Whitley multiple times but had not contacted the FBI, so it made more sense for Scott’s team to take on the case first.

The episode will likely begin with Wheatley committing a kidnapping or murder, as most often happens on FBI: Most Wanted, with the team quickly connecting evidence to the presumed dead killer.
This would give the FBI a reason to contact Organized Crime’s Ayanna Bell, and the two teams could work together to take down Whitley, with their first priority being proving he’s still alive.
I want this episode to start with FBI: Most Wanted and end with Law & Order: Organized Crime.
My only stipulation was that Scott had to be in the climactic scene.
Dylan McDermott’s idea of arresting himself was too good to pass up!
What do you think, organized crime fanatics?
Should FBI: Most Wanted go to the Organized Crime Bureau to wrap up Richard Whitley’s story, or does the idea of Dylan McDermott playing a dual role seem too silly?
