Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, who has been notorious for busting rumors over the years, confirmed on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that Spider-Man 4 is well underway. The actor addressed the circulating rumors, saying that the movie is indeed “happening” and confirmed that the project will begin filming next summer and that everything is “fine,” contrary to initial rumors.
A previous report from Variety stated that the film’s script was in very good condition but still needed work, making the project look further away than expected. “It needs work, but the writers did a great job,” Holland said. “I read the book three weeks ago and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down and read the book together, Sometimes we’re bouncing around our living rooms as if this is a real movie worthy of fan respect.
Apparently, with the movie starting production next year, these rumors are false.
The actor also said he hopes to eventually incorporate some sort of Marvel Universe version of Miles Morales into the movies, telling the Rich Roll podcast: “If I’m lucky enough to be able to somehow incorporate that Miles Morales brought me into the Spider-Man universe, and into the Marvel Universe, I would happily do for a little kid what Downey did for me.
