“Movie DX Project” promotes DX technology in movie marketing
Toei, Songzhu, and Flag announced on Wednesday that the three companies will cooperate to develop a new digital advertising platform project called “Cinema DX Project.” The program will focus on using consumer data to improve advertising methods and promote DX technology in film marketing.
Songzhu and Toei Flag shares will be acquired in the new capital and business alliance, Songzhu and Toei Each holds about 7% of the shares, which means the two companies each hold about 14% of the shares.
The new project comes amid concerns about instability in the film market following the COVID-19 pandemic, the announcement said. The “Cinema DX Project” aims to use consumer data to bridge the gap between promotion companies and theaters.
There are eventually plans to provide the digital advertising platform to other film companies.
