Eventbrite’s integration with social media platforms will benefit creators, such as stand-up comedians who earn income through live performances. It simplifies the event promotion process and eliminates the “biolink” middleman.
Popular stories that can be mixed and matched
“We’re giving creators a simple way to tap into trending conversations and bring online communities together in real life through events they’re passionate about,” said Ted Dworkin, chief product officer at Eventbrite, in a press release. Through this partnership, millions of people can now easily discover and attend the best events in their city on TikTok, right where the conversation is happening. “

TikTok first entered the ticketing space through a partnership with Ticketmaster, which first launched in the United States in 2022.
The partnership furthers the use of TikTok as a search engine, as users will be able to search for videos about Eventbrite events. But it’s ultimately about keeping users using TikTok for as long as possible. The social media platform only allows direct links to a limited number of content in videos, including Ticketmaster tickets, TikTok store products, Buzzfeed quizzes, Rotten Tomatoes and Whisk. It still neglects to allow links to articles, which could be an opportunity to spread rampant misinformation.
