This week brought several noteworthy movie and TV trailers—most importantly Sonic the Hedgehog 3. While I won’t include them here, you should check out some of the trailers included in our latest Nintendo Direct coverage (a nod to the Nintendo DS) Castlevania game collection).
It’s clear that summer is coming to an end and so are the blockbusters. Things will get a little livelier Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Next week, but things look to be calmer after that.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Eventually, Sonic’s nemesis Shadow joins the mix, played by Keanu Reeves. The trailer only gives a bit of Levi’s voice, but makes up for it with lots of messy, frustrated Dr. Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey, and Gerald Robotnik (also played by Carrey). The film will be released on December 25.
Marvel’s Agatha has always been Following Kathryn Hahn’s Disney+ series Wanda Vision Villains , which will begin airing on September 18th. While the show looks like it’s going to have a lot of comedy, this week’s trailer makes it clear there’s going to be a lot of drama, too.

Apple releases Ridley Scott’s director’s cut Napoleon airing this week on Apple TV Plus. With 48 minutes of additional footage, it sounds like there’s plenty to watch if you’re not spending Labor Day weekend around the grill.
