Willie’s Candy Spectacular Premiere
Willy’s Candy Feast: A Musical Parody The story of the infamous “immersive” Willy Wonka pop-up disaster has secured a director for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The musical will be directed by filmmaker and theater director Andy Fickman, known for his cult Heathers: The Musical and movies like this she is that man and Game plan.
“I can’t tell you how exciting it was when the brilliant Richard Craft asked me to direct Willy’s Candy Feast: A Musical Parody. Besides loving candy, I fell in love with these songs written by some of the best in the business,” Fickman said in a press release. “Personally, my first job in Hollywood was as development director for Gene Wilder (the original Willy Wonka), so this opportunity feels like a really sweet homecoming.” The show will Held from August 9th to 26th.
