Whether you’re after clip content, a fall vibe, or the chance to sail a big ship, The Witcher 3’s REDkit modding tool is still a boon. Now, Geralt is being offered the chance to embark on a new adventure to a land that fans of the lore will be familiar with – Cintra.
Yes, as a submission to the same CD Projekt competition as the quest mod we reported on about a week ago – the one that took Geralt on a hot air balloon ride to a mysterious island – another modder decided to work on a project It sounds like this will be a gold mine for long-time Witcher fans.

This latest mod for Gerwant30’s The Witcher Legends is currently available in work-in-progress form, and it looks like it’ll give you an overview of how a very ambitious thing is developing, which starts from the main menu, like the basics The game’s DLC is the same.
Gerwant30 wrote: “The Witcher Legends is a mod built using REDkit that takes you into a whole new world. The main setting is the legendary kingdom of Cintra, as well as the village of Hilden and the surrounding areas of the city.”
There are now two missions available, they added, designed to “serve as a prologue to the main storyline” – which “predates the events of the books and game” – as well as “introduce players to the world of ToTW,” Laying the foundation for future expansion.” It sounds like the main city is still a work in progress, but the modder says you can still explore it and think about some “city-based missions” you might want in future plans.
As you can see above, the current version of the mod is a bit like a silent film, with Gerwant30 choosing to stick with silent lip-syncing and letting you read subtitles to avoid potentially violating the aforementioned CDPR competition rules regarding the use of AI. Here’s the thing, I wouldn’t tell others what to do with their work at all, but considering the amount of effort that seems to have gone into the rest, it would be really cool to see this mod get some proper custom voice acting if possible. Thankfully, it sounds like the mod’s creators aren’t planning on resorting to cunning AI text-to-speech technology, writing that they “do not rule out the possibility of reusing the voices already in the game in the future.”
Beyond that, Gerwant30 clearly put a lot of thought into planning the gameplay elements for The Witcher Legends. For example, there are currently no maps or objective markers, and the intention is for your chats with NPCs and entries in Geralt’s diary to tell your adventure in a more old-fashioned RPG way. This seems to be part of what the modder calls “a slower style of play where completing monster hunting contracts is the core of the experience.”
As for when you’ll be able to play with more content than what’s available now, the modder said: “Unfortunately, the full version definitely won’t be available this year. I know there’s still so much to play, and that can be frustrating. .
