To commemorate, AhHOY Comics has announced that they will be including an artist’s collectible trading card Steve Ellis (The Only Boy Living, High Noon) will be included in a newly added special variant version of Issue 2. All 5-issue comic series from political satirist and Pulitzer Prize finalist Matt Boles and artist fred harper.
“THE TOXIC AVENGER #1” Cover D will release a collectible trading card designed by Harper on October 9th. THE TOXIC AVENGER #2 Cover D features Ellis’ collectible trading cards and will be released on November 13th.

In “The Toxic Avenger,” teenager Melvin Junko helps run his parents’ junkyard in the small town of Tromaville, New Jersey, where nothing much happens until an ill-timed incident. When the toxic waste train derails, Melvin is transformed into a horrifically deformed creature of superhuman size and strength. Under a media blackout imposed by Biohazard Solutions (BS) and its PR chairperson, Lindsay Flick, Melvin becomes the hero against BS and the ever-emerging mutant threats surrounding Tromaville. Ultimately, Melvin uncovers a vast conspiracy with far more far-reaching consequences than he could have imagined – but he knows that if everyone was aware of the crisis, they would take action to stop it. The Toxic Avenger is Bowes’ second comic series following the release of Justice Warriors, his critically acclaimed collaboration with artist Ben Clarkson about two police officers, Swamp Cop and Shit. The story of being stationed in the world’s first perfect city. The Toxic Avenger first appeared in the 1984 classic film, telling the story of a mutated weakling who cleans up his company’s mess. Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Hertz and starring Mitchell Cohen.
