The creative team that brings us Evil Dead: The GameBoss Team Games, is currently developing two games based on John CarpenterClassic Horror Horror Movie halloween.
You’ll be happy to know that Carpenter is actually lending his hand to at least one game, which makes sense since filmmakers aren’t making movies about video games anymore.
Carpenter is said to be “intimately involved” in the development of the new game, saying in a statement: “As a huge gamer myself, I’m excited to be able to bring Michael Myers back to life in this game, and I hope to Scared everyone.
The games are also being developed in conjunction with the creators of the Halloween series, and one of the games will be powered by Unreal Engine 5.
IGN reports that the upcoming Halloween video game will allow players to “relive moments from the film and play as classic characters from one of the most iconic and important horror films of all time.”
The two new games are being developed in partnership with Compass International Pictures and Further Front.
Steve Harris, CEO of Boss Team Games, said in a statement: “Everyone at Boss Team Games is a huge fan of the horror genre, and Halloween obviously holds a special place in the hearts of all horror fans.
“Working with an iconic figure like Michael Myers and building on John Carpenter’s original vision is an absolute dream come true.
“Everyone at Boss Team is excited and honored to be working with Malek Akkad and John Carpenter to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to movie and video game fans.”
Neither game has an announced release date or platform, but I’m excited to see how these games turn out.
