Check out some of his other comments on the story below:
“Riley changed more [than anybody else.] If you just look at the two things that were established for him in the first and second movie. In the first story, he is the unwitting spectator. […] This is the role he plays. He’s the guy who says, “What are you talking about?” In his second book, he wrote a book on the history of cryptography.
He is right! He knows some unknown history. I just have to think this is still going on. Historical elaboration becomes more difficult because […] there are some things [Riley] You can find out now. […]
In writing the third film, I thought there was a change in Ben and Riley’s inner relationship that I thought both actors would really enjoy. […]
Agent Sudusky is dead. I regard TV series as canon […] I’m trying to do something different with the FBI than I did in the first two movies. There are still pursuers, there are still forces of law and order, but just the way they operate, I tried to do something slightly different.
So this show and the first two movies are classics and they will appear in the third movie. It’s great to hear he has a fresh take on a new story that fans will enjoy too. Stay tuned for more updates on the film as it progresses.
