The physical version of Minecraft on PS5 costs $30, but comes bundled with 3,500 tokens. These can be used to purchase additional content on the Minecraft Marketplace, such as texture packs, worlds, and more. Since 3,500 tokens normally cost $20, you can actually buy Minecraft on PS5 for just $10. The deal is even more attractive if you pre-order from Best Buy, which is offering a $5 gift card to anyone who pre-orders.
Mojang notes that this version of Minecraft is compatible with all bedrock versions of Minecraft, allowing you to enjoy cross-play with friends on other platforms.
If you’re a new player, this is the most affordable way to buy Minecraft on PS5 – as long as you think you’re willing to spend in-game currency. Remember, if you already own the PS4 version of Minecraft, you’ll have free access to the digital PS5 version.
