Two years after confirming it was developing a new game in the Mafia series, publisher 2K announced Mafia: The Old Country on the opening night of Gamescom.
While the Mafia series relied heavily on Italian gangsters, Mafia: Homeland will be the first game to be truly set in Italy. It’s heading to Sicily in the 1900s. This confirms some rumors that have been going on for years.
“Fight for survival in this dangerous and unforgiving era,” the blurb reads, “with the action brought to life through the authentic realism and rich storytelling that the acclaimed Mafia series is based on. Famous for this.
PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC will all get the game sometime in 2025.
