The sequel, soft reboot of The Office just added its next round of cast members.
A sequel to the beloved “The Office” series has been in development for some time, but it wasn’t until May this year that Peacock finally ordered the series. Now, according to The Parisian Post , the next three actors have been cast in the new series, thanks to a trio of interviews with the long-running newspaper. Those three actors are obviously Chelsea Foley (Poker Face), Melvin Gregg (American Vandal) and Ramona Young (Santa Clarita Diet), all of whom All seem perfectly suited to a mockumentary series like “The Office.”

The new show, currently believed to be called The Paper, doesn’t appear to be directly related to The Office, other than that it’s about the same fictional documentary crew, with the official synopsis being more detailed: “The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder “The Scranton branch of Mifflin was looking for new topics and they discovered a dying Midwestern historic newspaper that the publisher was trying to revive with volunteer reporters.”
Back in April, before the show was ordered, it was reported that Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars) and Sabrina Impacciato (The White Lotus) had been cast as part of the cast Starring in the play. “The Paper” is also helmed by “The Office” creator Greg Daniels, who also brought “Nathan for You” co-creator Michael Koman on board, so, With two showrunners like this at the helm, you can expect some awkward moments that rival the original show.
Details are still thin, and with casting still ongoing, production isn’t likely to begin just yet, so don’t expect to see anything for a long time. Plus, it gives you more time to rewatch The Office for the 87th time, doesn’t it?
