
Everyone has probably had this fear before: There is life here, and one day those aliens will come smiling and kidnap them. Writer and Illustrator Adam Sim Also decided to reveal this fear in his graphic novel debut Little visitors and other kidnappings, Published by Ghost Press.
This graphic novel collects Sim’s Ignatz and Bram Stoker Award-nominated graphic novella Sincere invitation and two new stories about humans encountering aliens. Little Visitors and Other Kidnappings Released in August 2025.

story Little Visitors and Other Kidnappings It tells the story of a lonely girl who discovers stranger and more terrifying things in her search for her father. The summary is as follows:
The cast and crew of an obscure film recount a tragedy that occurred during its doomed production. A young girl searches for her father in the dark desert and stumbles upon an otherworldly cocktail party. As the village’s harvest festival approaches, two strangers foster violent thoughts in the heart of a painful and lonely child. Linking these three stories is a terrible theme…
“The fear of us or our loved ones being led into something we don’t understand, whether supernatural or not, lingers in the minds of many,” Shim said in a statement. “I’m delighted. To be able to share this collection of stories that touch on the fears of my childhood and the anxieties that still pervade society today.”
Little Visitors and Other Kidnappings It will be available in stores sometime in August 2025.
