Blacktron Renegade LEGO sets were a must-have for children’s toy boxes in the ’80s. Next month, the LEGO Group will launch a recreation of an iconic set for a new generation of space cadets to enjoy!
This set blends sci-fi nostalgia with modern technology to bring families together in a time gone by. Parents can rediscover the joy of building the original Blacktron Renegade, now recreated for the modern era in stunning detail.
The 1151-piece set is suitable for adults, but younger builders are welcome to join in the fun! Families can spend hours together, away from screens, having some space-age fun and building sets – just like adults did decades ago.
The latest version of the Blacktron Renegade series includes exciting new features for parents and their assistant builders. You can piece together a Planet Rover drop pod, retractable landing gear, two wing-mounted space vehicles and a collection of minifigures to bring the ship to life in the game!
The fun doesn’t stop when you’re done building! The set also includes instructions on how to rebuild the ship into an elaborate version of the Blacktron Alienator set from the original series from the 1980s. With just one LEGO set, parents can build new models and share their favorite childhood toys with a new generation of LEGO builders.
Get ready to take off! The LEGO Icons Blacktron Renegade building set will be available in stores and on lego.com on January 4th.
