Good news? It looks like Joel (Pedro Pascal) is going to therapy, with Catherine O’Hara playing his therapist. Bad news? Viewers may have to follow along for his next session, as this trailer promises world From the clickers attacking Jacksonville to the tense looks between Joel and Ellie (Bella Ramsey), there are hints that the two may not be as close as they once were.
The trailer also gives us our first look at new characters, including former Firefly Abby (Kaitlyn Dever, smart book), Ellie’s girlfriend Dina (Isabella Merced, Alien: Romulus), Washington Liberation Front leader Isaac (Jeffrey Wright) American novel) and Jackson resident Jesse (Young Mazzino, beef). But the biggest focus of the trailer remains on Joel, who is still thinking about the difficult decision he made at the end of season 1 and how it might affect his relationship with Ellie. Let’s just say I’m already stocking up on tissues in preparation for the season.
