as we are first trailerit looks like Joel will be getting treatment in season two. ster creekCatherine O’Hara plays Joel’s therapist, and we see her get a little grumpy with Pedro Pascal’s “sad dad.” She turns on the timer and asks him “Want to start or something?” I imagine Joel isn’t too excited about the idea of seeing a therapist, and would probably be quite wary of participating in these sessions, so O’Hara’s character may be interested in his Contemptuous attitude dissatisfied.
This scene does seem like a kind of stand-in for the opening scene The Last of Us Part 2 Joel confesses to his brother Tommy that he murdered dozens of Firefly activists who planned to kill Ellie to create a vaccine for the world-destroying Cordyceps fungus. Does doctor/patient confidentiality apply to something of this magnitude?
