The story of the play takes place 20 years after modern civilization was destroyed by a deadly virus. Joel is a ruthless survivor who is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie out of an oppressive quarantine zone to Firefly, an organization looking for a cure.
What starts as a small job soon turns into a brutal, heartbreaking journey as they must travel across America and rely on each other to survive.
