Ubisoft has revealed that sales of Star Wars: Desperados haven’t met expectations, but it does have plans for the coming months aimed at attracting more players to the game. In addition to confirming the release date and Steam version of “Desperados”‘s first DLC, “multiple title updates” are also in the works.
The news comes as the publisher announced it would delay the release of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows from November this year to February, citing “lessons learned from the release of Star Wars: Outlaws,” indicating the need for ” More time to polish and refine the experience” in its reasoning.

Ubisoft noted in its latest financial report that Desperado’s “initial sales were lower than expected” despite “good viewership and user ratings.”
“Based on player feedback,” Ubisoft’s development team is now fully mobilized to quickly implement a series of updates to refine and improve the player experience in order to attract a large audience during the holiday season and position “Star Wars: Outlaws” as a powerful long-term performer.

In a tweet posted via the official Star Wars Outlaws account, the game’s developer gave a deeper look at what’s in store for the game in the coming months, writing: “We’re working hard to create multiple game updates , which will bring optimizations, gameplay polish and tweaks, as well as quality-of-life changes and adjustments to combat and stealth gameplay.
The article also points to a specific release date for Desperado’s first story DLC, a wild card pack starring everyone’s favorite Cloudy City resident Lando Calrissian, which will be released in On sale November 21st. A number of “new contracts” will also be added and will be “free for all players.”
