We’re on the edge of more cliffs Lord of the Rings More than we’ve had in decades—ring of power Coming back to Amazon, Warner Bros. is working on developing multiple Lord of the Rings Spin-off movies. one of them, Rohirrim Warsset to launch this year, looks unlike anything we’ve seen in Middle-earth in a long time. But that doesn’t stop Warner Bros. from reminding you this something new Lord of the Rings From the vision given to you Lord of the Rings You already like it.
Perhaps it’s telling that this reminder appears from the very beginning of the first official trailer. Rohirrim Warsis a new animated film prequel launching this winter from anime director Kenji Kamiyama, known for his Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex, Blade Runner: Black Lotus, etc. The trailer starts off with nothing, not even a reminder that you’re watching a trailer. Lord of the Rings animated movies. Instead, it comes from two towersthe blaring clarion call to Howard Shore’s legendary Rohan theme from the film, and the reminder: You’re back Peter Jackson’s version Middle-earth.
At least when the trailer actually gets into the movie it’s about rather than being related to, what we get is something that does look pretty cool. The story takes place 200 years before the start of the War of the Ring. Rohirrim Wars Focuses on the reign of the legendary Helmhammer (voiced by Brian Cox, the King of Rohan from whom Helm’s Deep is named), and the political games of Rohan as his reign is plagued by conflict with Dunland .
Most notably, we see Helm’s young daughter Hera (voiced by Gaia Wise) spark this conflict as she finds herself subject to marriage proposals and political intrigue despite her desire to help her father Fight to defend the kingdom. There are a lot of things here that everyone is familiar with Rohirrim WarsThe pitfalls so far before the event Lord of the Rings. Edoras looks a lot like the one in the movie, with Olyphant, eagles, and even a water watcher, and yes, Helm’s Deep does seem to have some kind of battle, if not this The fight we all know and love. It’s a lot of the familiar aesthetic, done in a rendering style we’ve never really seen before, and it’s at least interesting to look at.
Regardless of this aggressive reliance Rohirrim WarsIt remains to be seen how the connection to Jackson’s film will play out as strongly in the final film as it does here, but this is our first look at what Warner Bros. The plan reminds us that it holds the visual key to a still legendary depiction of Tolkien’s work, and it’s a fun reminder of what to expect.
The Lord of the Rings: The Battle of the RohirrimStarring Luke Pasqualino as Hèra’s potential suitor, the film’s villain Wulf, and Miranda Otto’s framing device in the film , reprising her role as Éowyn, will be released on December 13, 2024.
