Lionsgate releases new clip from reboot crowit looks like the creative team really worked hard to capture the tone and atmosphere of the movie John Wick Franchise. The only difference is that crows can’t dodge bullets.
The new clip is set at the Opera House, where Crow violently eliminates a security team as they hunt them down and try to kill him.
director Rupert Sanders has talked about this movie before and tried to explain that it’s not just another Hollywood remake. He explains: “This movie has absolutely nothing to do with Hollywood. It’s a very scrappy independent movie.
He went on to tease that they wanted to make a movie that was closer to the creators James O’Barr’s source material. By making more independent-style films, the creative team “was able to stay close to the heart, darkness, and violence of the graphic novel.”
“The only reason we were able to do this is because it wasn’t a studio movie,” added the director, who also said budget constraints made the film better: “You have to be better at making things better. Efficient, emotionally resonant, not just spectacle.”
In the film: “Soulmates Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shirley Webster (FKA Twigs) are brutally murdered when demons from their dark past catch up with them. Eric has a chance through sacrifice Taking it upon himself to save his true love, he sets out to exact merciless revenge on his murderer, traveling through the worlds of the living and the dead to right wrongs.
