The 1980s are making a comeback this year, and television is no exception. Soon, the iconic children’s television series Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake They will collide on the screen, launching a new strawberry adventure of sweetness, love and sharing. Care Bear Berry Switch (tentative name) is a 44-minute animated preschool special co-developed by WildBrain, the company behind Strawberry Shortcakeand Cloudco, production Care Bears. Featuring colorful 1980s animation and nostalgic references to the original series, this “retro” title is sure to capture the hearts of both the young and the young at heart.
exist Care Bear Berry Switch, The sweet worlds of Care-A-Lot and Strawberryland come together. When Strawberry Shortcake and Cheer Bear wish on the same star, they unexpectedly open a magical door to each other’s worlds. Strawberry and the Cheer Bear swap places, resulting in lots of laughs, blossoming friendships, and exciting new adventures. Trouble looms when the iconic strawberry villain Purple Pie joins forces with the Care Bears’ old nemesis Wu Xin. Berry and the Care Bears must team up to save their world and the wonderful new friends they meet.
Care Bear Berry Switch More than just a revival of iconic children’s media; the special is a love letter to each brand’s 40-plus-year legacy. The special blends nostalgic 1980s animated design with moments from both brands, paying homage to the past while looking toward the future. The special celebrates the joy and magic that make these brands great with legendary moments like the “Care Bear Gaze” and classic villains that kids love to hate. At the same time, WildBrain and Cloudco are creating contemporary work that a new generation can enjoy for years to come.
The Strawberry Shortcake x Care Bears project will be unveiled this week at MIPCOM, the annual television trade show.
