Delta Force: Eagle developer Team Jade promised us some news at Gamescom 2024, and we got it during tonight’s opening night live demo. The upcoming free-to-play shooter has a brief look at the game and will be unveiled at Steam Next Fest in October.
Of course, Hawk Ops has been in closed alpha for several months and just recently expanded to the West. The overall sentiment is quite positive, with many viewing it as a true competitor to DICE Battlefield.

Team Jade has been hard at work on updates since its Alpha release, and more content has just been added recently. This version gets a new map, as well as a Hawk Ops mode similar to Battlefield Conquest. There’s no firm end date for the alpha test – but we do know it will continue until sometime in the first week of September.
As for the full version, the plan has always been to release it in the first quarter of 2025. In addition to the Battlefield multiplayer mode, Hawk Ops also has a single-player campaign inspired by the movie Black Hawk Down, which is not available for free.
