Rarely saw These traps provide a sense of catharsis, as more often than not, those placed in the Jigsaw’s line of fire don’t deserve the pain. saw fourHowever, trying to prove that some people deserve what Jigsaw does to them. The victims in the film are criminals who harm others, and Officer Daniel Rigg must make a decision whether to help them escape the Jigsaw trap. Among them are a sex worker who traffics other women, a serial rapist and an abusive father. This is essentially a twisted version of Jigsaw’s job ad, so as you watch these guys being ripped to shreds, he believes you might feel like they’re already here. The most visually striking of all the traps in this movie are the spike traps. The aforementioned abusive father Rex and his wife Morgan were hung back to back in one of their daughter’s classrooms with nails driven through their bodies. The spikes were strategically placed to be nothing more than flesh wounds to Morgan, but would kill Rex as they punctured several of his major arteries. By pulling on the spikes and freeing herself, she will break the ropes binding her, leaving her tormentor to bleed out. This is one of the best examples of Jigsaw’s trap feeling directly related to the lessons he wants to teach.
