Save $80: As of July 17, Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones are only $349 during Amazon Prime Day, which is a 19% savings on the regular price of $429.
As Mashable’s headphone shopping reporter reports, I’ve tested my headphones, ranging from high-end to budget-friendly.
When testing, I try to avoid calling a pair of headphones the absolute best, especially since one’s headphone experience depends heavily on personal preference. However, if you’re looking for headphones that are suitable for all-day wear, I say without a doubt that the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever tested are the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones. On the second day of Prime Day, they’re on sale on Amazon for $349, which is $80 off their usual price.

Obviously, not everyone uses the same head shape – again, preference matters. But for anyone who has tried Sony’s flagship line, JBL headphones, Bowers & Wilkins headphones, and the other two headphones in the QuietComfort series (QC 35 II and QC 45 headphones), the QuietComfort Ultra headphones feel the lightest, least squeezey, and the softest ear pads. I wore them throughout my workday and on planes with my glasses on without any issues.
Mashable Shopping reporter Sam Mangino also tested the headphones and said in his review: “These are definitely the most comfortable over-ear headphones I’ve ever tried.”
Although they are comfortable, they are not without their drawbacks. Bluetooth pairing can be inconsistent, especially when pairing multiple devices, which feels like a noticeable issue at its price point. They don’t support passive playback when not turned on (kind of defeats the purpose of a wired connection), and offer better spatial audio (although this is Bose’s first attempt at offering this feature on headphones).
That being said, their noise cancellation is top notch – these headphones are a godsend for me when I work at home across the street from a large construction project. Their battery life remains the same even with ANC turned on, and their earcups can be folded away for travel (this isn’t the case with the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones).
Mix and match offer
At $349, they’re worth it, especially if you’ve been looking for the most comfortable over-ear headphones.
