Developed by Redemption Road and published by tinyBuild, Kingmakers recently surprised everyone with its quirky (and technically impressive) first trailer, and while we don’t have a release date yet, it seems Hollywood is already interested in bringing it to the big screen superior.

Via GamesBeat, we’ve learned that Story Kitchen, the recently launched production company responsible for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie and the upcoming Tomb Raider animated series (among many other game-related projects), has signed a A deal to help develop a live-action movie based on an unreleased third-person shooter.

“Kingmakers’ action, world-building, and engaging sci-fi style make it the perfect combination to create a propulsive new series in Hollywood… We’ve been big fans of tinyBuild. As a publisher, they are putting out great games We Like to Play… Looking at The Adherent’s simple yet powerful premise, one can easily see how well it translates into a simple action movie that taps into multiple sub-genres at once.

While much of Story Kitchen’s promised movies and shows have yet to materialize in any way, it’s safe to say that the Sonic movie did pretty well and even brought in new fans to Sega’s flagship series more than many veterans There are even more Hollywood producers and movies. At this point, it’s hard to even know if “Advocate” can spend its first two to four hours mindlessly shooting medieval knights with a shotgun and running them over with trucks, but maybe the world is ready for the spirit of “Legion” The heir.

As for the game itself, its Steam page currently promises a 2024 release, but perhaps we’ll learn more about it soon. We do know that some light tactical elements and co-op are part of the overall experience, so once we get a handle on it it should be interesting to see how everything combines (or doesn’t) beyond the appealing basic premise. The game will also be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
