Manny Jacinto (good place, nine perfect strangers, acolyte) was previously announced as a cast member for the upcoming Disney sequel, Weirder Fridaybut he was only given an undisclosed role.
But as a star, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee CurtisAppearing in D23 last weekend, we found out that Jacinto will be playing the husband of Lohan’s character Anna, who swapped bodies with her mom Tess in the first film due to a mysterious curse.
“Manny plays Lindsay’s husband, but that’s all we can say,” Curtis told Entertainment Weekly, explaining that they’re still filming. “Manny is cute and funny,” Lohan chimed in of her new on-screen love interest.
Lohan’s former on-screen lover, Chad Michael Murraywill also return to reprise his role as Jack from the beloved 2003 comedy. Last month, Disney shared an image of Murray in character, along with a new motorcycle.

Although Curtis refers to Jacinto as Anna’s husband, the upcoming film (dir. late at night Helmer Nisha Ganatra And by baby face screenwriter Jordan Weiss), mentioning only that the young woman has “a daughter and soon-to-be stepdaughter of her own” who must “deal with the challenges that arise when two families merge.”
Entertainment Weekly has seen casting ads for the film, which include unconfirmed character descriptions that describe Anna as a “long-time single mother” who is “soon to be married to British restaurateur Eric Davis.” This frustrated her “tomboy” daughter Harper.
In addition to Lohan, Curtis and Murray, several other stars from the first film have also announced their return Blame Friday universe, including Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Song, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Ms. Zhao.
