I will deal with it as soon as possible. Because at this moment, it is indeed a dead horse being treated as a living horse. Episode 6 of “The Acolyte” (Chimel’s Bath Episode) failed to enter the Nielsen rankings. This is not surprising as the show dropped off the charts after its third episode (second week). This confirms Luminate’s all-new streaming charts, with The Acolyte also dropping out.
Meanwhile, “House of the Dragon” clocked in at 1.296 billion minutes, and Amazon’s “The Boys” came in second at 1.125 billion minutes. There’s only one real bright spot for Disney, and it’s not even a Disney+ show, the FX series (Hulu) Bears is No. 1 on the original programming charts (all episodes released on the same day), Disney’s second Success Story This year FX/Hulu follows Shogun. Disney+ itself only has three entries, the usual suspects: Bluey (again, not even a Disney IP), Moana and, thanks to successful sequels, Inside Out .
It will be interesting to see when Disney reports subscriber numbers for its streaming service in its earnings report next week.
