Ted Lasso follows the eponymous character as he is recruited to manage a Premier League football team. His only previous coaching experience was as an American college football coach, and as you can imagine, he was pretty ill-equipped for the job. In addition to Sudeikis’s stellar performance as Ted, Hannah Waddingham is wonderful as AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, while Brett Goldstein excels at capturing the abrasive and perpetually unhappy football star Roy Kent.
The character Ted Lasso became an internet sensation for his radical positivity. Each week during the show’s run, the health coach will provide perspectives rarely seen on popular modern television shows. If you need something positive, whether you’re into football or sports in general, Ted Lasso is definitely worth checking out.
