Bitcoin-based digital collection project Taproot Wizards has confirmed that its official mint will be held on March 25 with only 2,121 inscriptions.
Over the past two years, Taproot Wizards has fostered a community through interactive events and challenges. These activities contributed to the visibility of the project, especially after its role in creating the first 4MB block on the Bitcoin blockchain.
The casting process will involve whitelisted participants, holders of specific assets, and the Dutch auction of the remaining inscriptions. Due to the exclusive nature of the collection, potential buyers are advised to prepare before the final eligibility confirmation date on March 19.

What is a Taproot Wizard?
Taproot Wizards is a digital collection project based on a Bitcoin sequence, a protocol that allows data to be etched on a single Satoshis, the smallest unit of Bitcoin. This is different from Ethereum’s traditional NFT model, because the ordinal numbers are permanently recorded on Bitcoin’s blockchain.
The project first caught the eye in February 2023, a contribution to the first 4MB block creation in Bitcoin history. Since then, it has participated in a growing community through various thematic events called “Wizard Tasks” that encourage participants to engage through interactive challenges.
The project distinguishes between community engagement and the emphasis on Bitcoin-based collections across a wider sequence ecosystem.

How to participate in the Taproot Wizard Mint?
The casting process is composed of three main methods:
- Quantum Cat Holder: Owners of “dead” and “live” quantum cat NFTs can combine them together through a chain process called “entanglement” to get a discounted mint price of 0.1 $ btc. This offer is limited to 1,000 attractions and must be completed by March 19.
- Whitelist of community members: Individuals who have participated in past Taproot Wizarding events may be eligible for a whitelisted casting slot of 0.2 $ btc. The final list of eligibility will be confirmed on March 19.
- Dutch auction: Dutch auctions will offer a limited number of Taproot wizards, where prices will start to be high and gradually decrease. Participants can bid using $BTC or $SOL.
In addition, holders of the “Golden Cloak” NFT can request a taproot wizard for free as long as they verify ownership and submit an application by March 19.
The Mint will be done only through Xverse (a Bitcoin wallet provider). Participants will need to use Xverse on desktop browsers and provide support for ledger hardware wallets.
